Icmeler Transportation
Icmeler is located 10 km from
Marmaris, 100 km from Dalaman international airport and 275 km from
Izmir airport. Between Icmeler and Marmaris there is a 15 minute ride on
a scenic pine laden asphalt road. Although some may prefer
transportation by water taxi. Generally, transportation is provided by
minibus dolmus, municipality bus, tractor pulley or water dolmus taxi
with quick access to Marmaris and Turunc.
Greek island Rhodes is reachable by hydrofoil within 50 minutes, and in
tourist season from May - October, hydrofoil is departing twice a day

Taxis
All taxis are yellow with a taxi sign an the top and can be found at many
stations, around hotels and at many street corners. All taxis have meters with
a fixed starting price that increases every kilometer. There are higher rates
between midnight and 6 a.m. One red dot on the taxi meter indicates daytime
charges, while two red dots signal higher midnight rates.
Dolmus
A dolmus is a shared taxi in from of a minibus which operates on a regular
basis along designated routes. Cheaper than a taxi, you pay one fixed rate for
the route. Each Dolmus has list of their destinations displayed in the side
window. You can only pay in Turkish liras.
Icmeler Minibus runs to the center of every resort in Marmaris. In Icmeler
dolmus 1.250.000 TL fee is approximately 60 pence. The dolmuses in icmeler
are color-coded: Orange. Working hours is 07.15 am till 01.30 am in the
morning.
Municipality Bus
Color-coded: Dark Blue.
It's running everyday 07.30 till 1.00 am. It's running every 1/2 hour from
icmeler to marmaris. Icmeler dolmus and midi bus does not stop in Marmaris.
If
you want to go to Local bus station you have to change to dolmus. you have to
get into Marmaris dolmus Which is color-coded: green.
Out Of Town Busses
A popular and less expensive way to get to different towns and resorts is by
coach. These run according to set routes and timetables. Destinations and
tickets can be purchased from each company's stations around the city or
directly from the intercity bus terminal.
