Water
sports
Parasailing and water skiing are two of the most
popular water sports at Içmeler. The clear waters are also ideal
for scuba diving. It is also possible to hire speedboats by the
hour, as well as pedals.
A walk round the bay
Not many visitors realize that it is possible
to walk all the way from Içmeler to Marmaris without ever leaving
the shore. Leave early in the evening and you'll have a superb
advantage point as the sun sets majestically over the bay ( allow
1-1/2 hours for the walk).
Boat trips
The sand and pebble beach at Içmeler is about
500 meters long and follows an arc around the bay. If you want
change of scene, water dolmus make regular trips along the coast
to Turunç.
Boats to Çiftlik, which boasts one of the
largest beaches in the area, leave daily at 10.00 and return at
17.00 calling at Turunç, Amos, Bay and Kumlubük (famous for its
fish restaurants) on the way. |
